ARION is one of those sailboats that are truly special. In 1951 she was the only large fiberglass sailboat in the whole world and at 58 today she still has a great look. She is fast. I once saw the GPS a 13.9. She is dry. I almost never wear rain gear .She is agile and surefooted. I am comfortable sailing alone in a crowded anchorage. Best of all she gives you a great confidence in a wide range of wind and sea conditions. Sidney Herreshoff designed Arion. Loa 42' Beam 8' Lwl 38' Draft 5'6" Arion is only 80% restored and is somewhat Spartan below, but she has been a delight to own and sail. She is for sale because I am moving into a different cruising venue and can not afford to support 2 large boats.
